I'm Saroj,
a product designer from Kathmandu .

I began my design career in 2011, driven by a curiosity for the field. As a self-taught designer without formal training, I initially focused on graphic and UI/UX design and have since gained experience across start-ups, product companies, design agencies, and service providers, contributing to over 40 client projects.

With more than 13 years in graphic and product design, I have developed expertise across numerous industries, including healthcare, ERP, e-commerce, fintech, edtech, and law. My key strengths lie in product ideation, innovation, design strategy, and implementation, all aimed at delivering impactful user experiences.

Currently, I work at Leapfrog Technology as a Design Architect and Design Manager , leading cross-functional teams to create user-centric products. I also oversee a design team of over 20 individuals, focusing on design strategy, team growth, and mentoring junior designers, which has resulted in improved efficiency and enhanced product innovation.

For the Community

I’m passionate about community growth and have been actively involved in organizing and contributing to various design events. These include Sketch Meetup, Graphic Designers' Meetup, Design Disruptors, and other virtual events aimed at fostering learning and collaboration in the design community. I also played a key role as a core organizer and speaker at Design Disco Vol. 3.

As an active mentor on ADPlist, I’m committed to helping fellow designers connect, learn, and grow. I’ve also made significant contributions to the Figma Community, sharing resources and insights to support the global design ecosystem.

Outside of work

In my free time, I immersing myself in different forms of art, listening to music, and going on motorbike rides. I also have a passion for photography and regularly post my pictures on Instagram, and also contribute to Unsplash.
